Story of a Fox who wanted to swallow the Sun

Let me tell you a story of a sly little fox who wanted to swallow the sun. Once upon a time, in a fairyland far far away, animals lived together in harmony. One morning the sun was particularly bright and shiny. One very frisky fox was just looking for a new toy to play with. She climbed the biggest hill and started jumping higher and higher to catch the radiant blob in the sky.

The other animals began to worry that the fox might eat the sun, and then the eternal night would reign upon their land. They cursed the fox and exiled her to wander forever in the dark. She wakes up only during the night and can no longer see the yearned-for sun. Thousands of years went by, and the curse absorbed the once joyful and playful fox, changing her, making her almost unrecognizable.

The curse stated, however, that when the sun meets the moon, the red sphere will shine upon the land of eternal night. And then, the fox will finally be free.
